Join a household or a vote
Someone sent you a code for What's For Dinner. It takes a minute to use it: get the app, then enter the code.
1. Get the app
What's For Dinner is free to download on iPhone.
2. Enter the code
Which steps you need depends on what they sent.
A household code (a shared meal list)
It looks like ABCD-EFGH.
- 1Open the app and go to Settings.
- 2Tap Join a household.
- 3Type in the code and tap Join household.
A vote room code (help someone pick dinner)
It's four letters or numbers.
- 1Open the app and go to the Vote tab.
- 2Tap Join a vote instead.
- 3Enter the room code.
Capital letters, dashes, and spaces don't matter, so you can paste the code in as you got it.
Only join people you know. Anyone with a household code can see and change the shared list, so treat the code like a house key.
