Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the What's For Dinner app and gowhatsfordinner.com. By downloading or using the app, or using this website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app or site.

What's For Dinner helps you keep a list of dinners, pick one for tonight, plan a week, share a list with your household, and vote on what to make. The free version covers up to 7 meals in your list. What Premium unlocks, and everything else about how the app works, is described on the home page and in Support.

Premium is an auto-renewable subscription, offered monthly or yearly, billed through your Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase and at the start of each renewal period.

Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to when you subscribed.

Free trial. If a trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial, where that's allowed by the App Store.

Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription any time in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium through the end of the period you already paid for. Because Apple handles billing, refunds are subject to Apple's policies, not ours — see Apple's support article on requesting a refund.

Price changes. If a price changes, Apple will ask you to accept the new price before it applies to your next renewal.

Family Sharing. If you turn on Family Sharing for your subscription, it's shared the way Apple designs Family Sharing to work.

There are no accounts. A household or voting room is identified by a short code, and anyone with that code can view and change the shared list or vote. You're responsible for who you share a code with. More detail is in the privacy policy.

Use the app and site for their intended purpose: planning and picking meals. Don't use them to store or share unlawful content, try to disrupt the service, or interfere with anyone else's use of a shared household or voting room.

Dinners, notes, photos, and recipe links you add are yours. You're responsible for having the right to add anything you import from another website, including through the share sheet.

The app and site are provided as-is. Recipe suggestions, prep times, and imported recipe content are for convenience and may not always be accurate; use your own judgment, especially around allergies and food safety.

To the extent allowed by law, What's For Dinner and its developer aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or site.

We may update these terms as the app changes. If we do, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
