Free printable weekly meal planner

Plan the week's dinners on one page. Type your meals in, or let the page suggest a few from our recipes, then print it or save it as a PDF and put it on the fridge. What you type stays in your browser, so it's still here when you come back.

How to use it

  1. Set the week. Write the dates at the top and choose whether your week starts on Monday or Sunday.
  2. Fill in dinners. Type your own, or start typing a recipe name to pick one of ours. Not sure? “Fill empty days with ideas” adds a recipe to each blank day.
  3. Add a note for each night. A side dish, something to thaw, or who's cooking.
  4. Print or save. Use the button, and choose “Save as PDF” in the print window if you'd rather keep a digital copy.

Tips for a meal plan that sticks

  • Plan four or five dinners, not seven. Leave room for leftovers, a night out, and the evening plans that change.
  • Put your easiest meals on your busiest nights. Look at the week's calendar first, then match the meal to the evening.
  • Plan around what you already have. Use the chicken in the freezer or the half bag of spinach before buying more.
  • Reuse ingredients across the week. One batch of shredded chicken can be Monday's dinner and Thursday's quesadillas.
  • Write the plan before you shop, then build your grocery list from it.

What's For Dinner works one night at a time. It keeps your list of dinners and picks tonight's meal for you, by roll or by household vote.
